Window Cleaners Working On The Squaw Valley Tramway

Squaw Valley village is quiet in early June; it’s between seasons and a good time to do housecleaning and tidy up after a winter of skiing.

The two tram cables extend from their anchors in bedrock at the base of the mountain to the summit and beyond to the high terminal.

The fastest way up the mountain is by tram: one car rides on each cable, each holding 110 tourists. The cable will be in summer operation later in June, but for now everything is spring cleaning.

Ski Lifts and slope grooming equipment sit idle for the summer tourist season.
