United 788 arrived in Boston about five hours late. It was after midnight and everything was shut down in the airport except for the fire alarms– the alarms were blaring away in full test mode. What a noisy welcome for the weary travelers.

A short shuttle to the hotel and we were done for the day. We could see the lights of downtown Boston, beautiful.

It was rainy and grey when we awoke the next morning to start our trip to NH and the White Mountains. But first a stop at the Museum of Fine Arts.

We are visiting southern NH where the leaves are just coming in to fall color. The color should peak while we are here.
