The Resort at Squaw Creek: Guest tower rises in back of Reception/Main Lobby

The Resort at Squaw Creek opened in 1990 on the eastern edge of Olympic Valley home of the Squaw Valley ski area, which was the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. The ’60 Winter Olympics were the first to be televised. Guess that makes them the first modern olympic games.

We’re here during a lull in recreation activity as the resorts switch to their summer activities.

Our room is on the 3rd floor of the nine story Guest Tower. We look out on Squaw Vally and the golf course.

This is a beautiful place to vacation.
