The sun has put New Hampshire on its schedule for today, the sun brings out the fall color, especially the reds. Beautiful.

Today is a travel day. Our route takes us North on US-91 along the Connecticut River to Littleton and then South to Conway.

In Littleton we stop to visit the Gristmill.

The mill was established in1797 on the Ammonoosuc River, and continued operation until 1930 when operations were halted and the mill was closed.

In 1997 two local families restored the Littleton Gristmill to its original conditions — today you can visit the mill and buy stone ground flour that is ground on site. Isn’t that neat.

From Littleton our route turns South passing by Bretton Woods, Mt Washington Hotel and Crawford Notch.

The fall color is beautiful; the reds are brilliant–if only the sun would stay out. Tomorrow the forecast is for more rain.
