A tree grows in Palo Alto, At my Feet.

This tree is growing between the sidewalk and the driveway near my home in Palo Alto. It’s pretty dry now, and sand prevails in many parking strips. I hope the tree makes it through the California drought.

Sometimes, when exiting the photo app on my iPhone6, I click the shutter button instead of the home key, which results in yet another photo of my lap or the floor—I have lots of these photos in my iPhone archives. Today I’m posting some shots that illustrate the diversity of these odd mistakes.

Most are just weird and out-of-focus. I’m not sure why I save them.
